Accountancy and Audit

Financial Accounts for sole traders and partnerships:

Historically a business’s annual accounts have been prepared for the purpose of completing the appropriate self assessment tax return.

It is our belief that these annual accounts should be a base for reviewing and planning.

Our accounts are prepared in a format that can easily be used for review and comparison purposes.

We have extensive experience in preparing accounts for various businesses, and we can draw upon this experience to advise and assist you in business development.

Statutory accounts:
Limited companies are required to prepare accounts in accordance with the Companies Act; additionally these accounts must be filed with Companies House in the required statutory format.

We can prepare your statutory accounts and file them with Companies House for you. We also provide a registered office facility, where we act as your company's ‘official’ correspondence address which will provide you with the peace of mind that all Companies House documents will be dealt with on a timely basis.

Details about our registration as practicing members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales can be viewed at www.icaewfirms.com using our firm name and/or location.

Audit:
The regulatory audit work is a legal requirement to ensure that your company adheres to its legal obligations.

We have Registered Auditors status and would conduct audit in the most efficient manner possible.  We view the audit not only as a statutory requirement, but as an opportunity to give your company a general business review and offer commercially sound advice.

Although the additional cost associated with an audit may sometimes appear to clients as an unnecessary financial burden, there are many benefits, as follows;

  • You receive an accurate account of the company’s financial position
  • We have the opportunity to identify certain aspects illustrated in the accounts and advise you on any appropriate action
  • You have peace of mind, knowing your accounts are in full compliance  with statutory requirements

Details about our audit registration can be viewed at www.auditregister.org.uk for the UK and www.cro.ie/auditors for Ireland under the reference number C005313417

Financial institutions, current and potential clients place significance on audited accounts, and thus the overall image of your company is greatly enhanced by your being able to present a professionally prepared set of accounts.
